Wakestock Rail Europeans

Over the past 7 years the pool gap has become a major feature at the Wakestock Festival site. Wakestock have pushed the boundaries of rail competitions in Europe, and in doing so have brought all the action from the worlds best wakeboarders right to the heart of the festival.

The Pool Gap consists of two custom built pools, holding 200,000 gallons of water which are constructed bang in the middle of festival site. 3 gnarly rails will be built in-between the pools, and the competition takes place over the three days of the festival with the riders competing in the new head to head rider format. There are free ride sessions each day and the 8 most impressive riders from the free ride sessions will get invited to ride against 8 pre qualified riders in the main competition. The 16 wakeboarders in the competition will be drawn against each other and then battle it out trick for trick in head to head heats.

The comp takes a simple format – the best rider goes through. With some serious prize money up for grabs, the worlds best rail riders will be throwing down their best tricks, and giving the spectators an amazing show as they compete for the Wakestock Rail Europeans title.

System 2.0
A System 2.0 cable rig has taken place of the old winch system on the Pool Gap. What does this mean? Well to start with it will give all the riders a very accurate and fair pull, and the change-over time between the riders is much shorter. Instead of walking the rope back for the next rider, the System 2.0 does it all for you. This will allow for the head to head format to work even more effectively than years gone by, and means no hanging around for the riders and spectators as the rope is walked back – it’s back to back action all day!

Wakeskating
Wakeskating Jams will be happening each evening with money up for grabs in a “best trick takes all” format. We are looking for the stand out trick in each session to dish out the cash too! So expect plenty on spills and some sick riding as the skaters push each other.

Girl Jams
The girl’s rail riding skills have blown up recently and this year we are once again giving them some girl only time on the pool gap. The cables all over the World have bred a group of hardcore and stylish female wakeboarders who are all ready to step up and show off their skills on the Pool Gap.
