Glasfryn Wake Parc
Glasfryn Wake Parc is situated just 15 minutes away from the Wakestock festival site and is the perfect place for festival goers to try their hand at wakeboarding. Glasfryn Wake Parc uses two System 2.0 Wakeboard Cables to tow riders up and down their purpose built lakes. One of the System 2.0’s is designed for beginners and runs at a shorter length of 100m and is 10m high meaning the beginners get a great upward pull. You cannot fail to learn to wakeboard using this setup!
For the more advanced riders there are 5 obstacles on the lakes – brand new wall rides, the Relentless Leviathan, a kicker and a flat bar. Combined with ollie barrels and the ability to learn air tricks very easily, Glasfryn Wake Parc is truly a venue for every standard of wakeboarder from first timer, to seasoned pro.
The venue at Glasfryn Wake Parc is stunning and set on the picturesque Llyn Peninsula, the lakes are surrounded by tall trees meaning no matter how windy it is the lake is always perfectly calm. The clean water is fed by streams coming straight down from the mountains and the site boasts great facilities including changing rooms, showers, club house, licensed bar, cafe and much more. There are also many other activities like go karts, quad bikes and ten pin bowling so you can really make a day of it.
Glasfryn Parc was the first cable wake park to open in Wales and opened in July 2010. Located on the A499 Caernarfon to Pwllheli road, Glasfryn Wake Parc is easily accessible – the postcode is LL53 6PG.
