Wakestock Pre Party goes off with a Bang!

The campsite for Wakestock 2012 opened at 1pm yesterday afternoon as crowds of Wakestockers poured in to set up their tents and get ready to rock n’ roll. As the sun set over our lovely little festival site the Wakestock pre party kicked off in the East Arena. All those who had purchased their Nitro Pre Party tickets were treated to some banging sets from the likes of Ajaxx, Wakestock residents Plastic Thumbs, Jigsaw and the epic skills of the Jaguar Skills.

The festival starts fully today at 4pm when you can look forward to performances from the legend that is Calvin Harris, cheeky twosome Rizzle Kicks, Radio 1 favourite Huw Stephens, Flux Pavilion, Hadouken, Random Impulse and many, many more. For all the wakeboard lovers, get yourselves to Pwllheli Marina for the qualifying rounds of the wakeboard comp. Some of the worlds best riders will battle it out to see if they can earn a place in the final tomorrow, hopefully with some nice glassy conditions.

Tickets are still available and can be purchases at the Box Office on arrival or through local outlets including Newsplus and Bargain Box in Pwllheli and Abersoch Watersports and Abersoch Boardrider in the village.

Please note that the weather forecast for today isn’t the best so you might want to take advantage of the park and ride scheme that we have introduced that will run from Pwllheli Sailing Club up to the festival site. You can leave your cars and hop on a bus, rather than using the car parks. You really don’t want to miss it. So get your wellies and waterproofs on and get down to Wakestock 2012!
