Where To Sleep
On-site Camping
The campsite opens at 1pm on Thursday 5th July and will remain open until 1pm on Monday 9th July. Please note – there will be no access to the campsite outside of these times. The campsite is adjacent to the arena and just a short walk from the car parks. You will not be allowed onto the campsite unless you have purchased a weekend camping ticket – each person staying in the campsite will need their own weekend camping ticket regardless of who they are sharing a tent with. We recommend you purchase these tickets in advance as they have sold out for the past 5 years.
There are showers, toilets, a campsite shop, a campsite bar, a fairground ride and various traders and caterers located within the campsite. Please note the showers will only be operational between 08.00 – 12.00 and 16,00 – 22.00 each day. We are introducing various improvements to the main campsite in 2012 – further details will be posted on the website soon!
A number of items are prohibited in the campsite – your bag will be searched upon entry and any prohibited items will be confiscated. You are not allowed to bring:
- BBQs, camping stoves, fires or candles
- No glass bottles or any other glass items will be allowed on site
- Fireworks
- Dogs or other pets
- Weapons or any item which may be considered a dangerous weapon
- Professional recording or photographic equipment
- Air horns
You can take a reasonable amount of alcohol into the campsite, please make sure it is not in glass bottles, you cannot take any alcohol into the arena. A reasonable amount of alcohol is seen as a case of beer / cider and a bottle of spirits per person. The campsite bar will be back again on site this year, so if you want to stock up during the weekend you will be able to do so at the campsite bar.
Campervans are allowed on site but they will only be able to park in the official campervan area. Campervan tickets cost £50 per vehicle and everyone staying in the campervan must be in possession of a valid weekend camping ticket. We only allow bona fide campervans into the campervan area – this means no transit vans, cars, horse boxes, trailer tents, caravans, buses etc – campervans only! Campervan tickets are only available via the Wakestock ticketline on 0844 8472439 and a limited number are available so make sure you book now to avoid disappointment. In 2012 the campervan area will once again be situated on the Crugan fields – for those who attended in 2011 this is the same location. The Crugan fields and tucked away in a peaceful location away from the main campsite.
We also offer a quiet campsite for those festival goers who want to get their zzzzzzzzzz’s in peace. The quiet campsite is tucked away on the quiet fields at Crugan, this is a new location for 2012 and quiet campers will be able to enjoy a peaceful nights sleep away from the noise of the main campsite. The quiet campsite has a strict noise curfew each night.
If you fancy spending your weekend in style why not take a look at the fab VIP camping options we have available? There are a variety of different packages available to suit all budgets including amazing Camel Camp tents, funky festihuts and hassle free pre-erected tents or the basic VIP camping package. Take a look at the VIP page for more information.
Leaving anything of value in your tent at a festival is not recommended as unfortunately thefts do occurr so we recommend if you have anything of value with you, you purchase a charge & store ticket. By booking a charge & store ticket you will be able to store items including bags, coats and valuables securely and safely with the charge & store facility. The set-up is manned 24hrs a day and you will exchange your booking confirmation for a secure wristband which enables you to access your valuables over the weekend, and means you don’t have to worry about losing a cloakroom ticket on site. The ticket costs £14 in advance. If you have any queries please call the helpline on 01758 741095. Please note your charge & store ticket only entitles you to secure storage – phone charging is avaialble but this is at an additional cost.
Fire lanes are clearly marked within the campsite and are put in place for your safety to allow emergency vehicles to reach all areas of the campsite in the event of a fire. Do NOT pitch your tent in these lanes or it will be removed. You must keep them clear of belongings at all times. If you are unsure of where the fire lanes lie then please ask a steward.
On arrival to the campsite, your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband.
ENSURE YOU WEAR YOUR WRISTBAND ALL WEEKEND.
By removing your wristband, you will invalidate it and you risk being ejected from the festival.
