With a new album due out in the Autumn, Welsh rockers KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES are sure to be on form when they hit the Wakestock stage in July. Their new single “Drive” was released this week and with a back catalogue that includes hits like “Matters At All” “Give Me What I Want” and “Saturday” they will no doubt go down well with their home crowds at Wakestock.

WE ARE THE OCEAN embarked on their biggest UK tour to date this spring to support the release of their latest album “Maybe Today, Maybe Tomorrow” and will be taking on some big festival dates this summer, including Wakestock. The four piece from Essex have gone from strength to strength over the past 6 months, scoring massive A-List Radio 1 status with their lead single “Bleed” smashing the airwaves. Look out for them this year.

San Francisco boy WATSKY is an an electrifying live performer who moves between rapping, melodies and spoken-word poetry. A huge hit in the US, in 2011 he debuted at the top of Billboard’s Social 50 chart with the track “Pale Kid Raps Fast” and by the end of 2012 his music, videos, mixtapes and live performances amassed him a loyal fan base. His album “Cardboard Castles” was released back in March which included songs like “Hey Asshole” featuring Kate Nash and “Moral of the Story.” Don’t miss him this year.

Joining the bill is one of UK’s best emerging rock bands CANTERBURY. Their sophomore album “Heavy In The Day” reached No.1 in the iTunes rock chart in 2012. Fantastic album reviews from the likes of Kerrang and Rocksound, and strong radio support, helped build the band’s popularity through 2012. With rumours of a new album in the pipeline and further tours of the UK and Europe announced, 2013 is set to be their biggest year yet.

Hailing from North Wales, the dynamic WE ARE ANIMAL won’t have far to travel when they take to the stage at Wakestock. They are currently busy promoting their new album “Tacla” and the single ’1268′ has been well received by the likes of Radio 1’s Huw Stephens. Their unique and instantly recognisable sound should not be missed this year. ‎

In addition to the latest line up announcements, we’re excited to announce the addition of another stage at Wakestock this year. The PUB STAGE will be right in the action and accessible to all. We have received so many applications to play from new artists this year wewanted to add in a new platform for them to show off their talents. We’re looking for up and coming acoustic, musical comedy, folk acts and duos from across Wales and the North West to play. The stage will run throughout the weekend - if you want to be part of Wakestock this year send us your details info@wakestock.co.uk. The Pub Stage will also include a great bar, a seated chill out area along with some classic pub favourites including a pub quiz.

With summer just a couple of weeks away the Wakestock team are excited to announce that Mancunian legends JAMES have been added to the 2013 line-up. Plus SWIM DEEP, CHLOE HOWL, ELLA EYRE and ESCO WILLIAMS have also been added to the bill. In other news, single day tickets are going on-sale Friday May 17th at 9am. Influential indie masters JAMES are one of the biggest bands to ever emerge from Manchester, with over 25 million album sale worldwide. These guys formed back in the 80s but it was the 90s that saw them smash the charts with anthemic singles including ”Come Home”, ”Sit Down”, “Born of Frustration” and “She’s a Star.” These are just some of the 20 top 40 singles they have released in a career spanning over 3 decades. These guys are famed for their live performances and we can’t wait to welcome them to Wakestock this year!

They will be joined by SWIM DEEP, a band with polished, edgy, pop fuelled cool. Their music is sun-drenched excellence at its best, as highlighted in the single “She Changes the Weather” which is out this week. With their debut album “Where the Heaven Are We”scheduled for release on June 29th, it looks set to be the sound of the summer.

At just 18 years of age CHLOE HOWL has made quite an impression with her first single “No Strings.” The frank-talking teen appeared on the internet unannounced a week before Christmas, posting her sweary, sparky debut track on Soundcloud to rapt response. This was followed by “Rumour” which features on the three-track “Rumour” EP. There’s a lot to lovewith her eye for lyrical detail, and her songs showing buckets of personality. Check her out at Wakestock this year. ‎

If you are a fan of Rudimental then you will know of ELLA EYRE. Ella features on their number one single ”Waiting All Night,” and is set to release her own EP in June, with the lead single “Young Forever.” This 18 year old girl’s extraordinary voice and songwriting skillshave already attracted the attention of Professor Green and Disclosure, and Ella also featured on Wakestock fave Bastille’s cover of TLC’s classic “No Angels,” which shot straight to the top of the Hypemachine chart. Make sure you catch Ella’s show this year!

ESCO WILLIAMS, the self-professed “Soul Powered Nerd” is a dynamic vocalist/singer/songwriter, from Liverpool. He has been invited to play at Wakestock as part of the BBC Introducing and Association of Independent Festivals partnership. Reminiscent of Aloe Blacc, Al Green and Cee-Lo Green, his energy and performance have already earned him a MOBO Unsung Award 2012 Award, plus inclusion on the Radio 1XTRA Hot for 2013 andTOP 20 Artist for MTV Brand New 2012 lists. Esco tells us ”I’m stoked to play Wakestock this year and honoured to be invited by BBC Introducing and AIF! The partnership between the BBC and AIF has presented me with a great platform for me to be able to showcase my music on a bigger stage. I can’t wait to show the boarders how I get down!”

We had an amazing response to our search for top new DJ talent to join the bill at Wakestock this year – choosing the winner was a really tough task! Luckily we had superstar DJ and long time friend of Wakestock, Goldierocks aka Sam Hall on hand to pick the winner. Sam has stage dived, rocked out and propelled herself off various stages around the globe having DJ’d everywhere from Ibiza Rocks to Glastonbury’s East Dance Stage, inside the igloo disco of Snowbombing in Austria to the palm fringed shores of Lake of Stars Festival in Malawi Southern Africa, Australia’s Gold Coast to cowboy country, playing SXSW in Texas. Anyone camping in Camp G will get a 10% discount on treatments, and a 10 – 15% discount on any of the packages – you just need to show your Camp G wristband in order to qualify for a discount.

“Camp G” offers you the chance to camp with your girlfriends in a female only campsite, completely separate from the main campsite for no extra charge. You simply need to buy a weekend camping ticket for the festival and then register for Camp G in advance. Pre-registering guarantees you your pitch in Camp G. There will be some additional pitches available on the day but these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Camp G will have its own toilets, security and CCTV coverage. Anyone camping in Camp G will also be able to use all of the facilities in the main campsite as well. Please note that if you decide you would like to camp in Camp G, you will not be able to camp in the main campsite. This is to make sure we can plan the campsites effectively. You will be able to visit friends and use the facilities but will not be permitted to pitch a tent.
