What Is Relentless Wakestock? Relentless Wakestock is Europe’s largest wakeboard music festival, combining the cultures of music and the world's fastest growing watersport in a weekend of high-octane excitement!The festival began in Abersoch, North Wales back in 2000, when it was a wakeboard contest with a party in a car park for 800 people, and from then on it has grown to become one of the coolest most revered festivals in Europe playing host to some of the industries leading bands and DJ’s, along with the biggest wakeboard competition in Europe. For 2008, the event takes an exciting step forward, with a second event that is taking place at the stunning location of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. Blenheim Palace is home to the Duke of Marlborough and the grounds, which have their own picturesque lake, will play host to the festival at this outstanding additional Relentless Wakestock location. You can expect everything you find at the Abersoch festival – fantastic bands and DJ’s, a world class wakeboarding contest, camping on site, funfair, trade stalls – all set over 3 days in ironically the village of Woodstock, Oxfordshire. Relentless Wakestock Blenheim is held at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. Blenheim Palace is a national heritage site and home to the Duke of Marlborough, and will host the new three day event. With an outstanding lake on site with the palace as the back drop, Blenheim is the ideal location for a world class wakeboarding event. A specially constructed floating slider park will be put in place on the lake and over the weekend you will be able to see some of the worlds best wakeboarders battle it out for the title of Relentless Wakestock Blenheim Champion. Spectators can view all the action from the natural grandstand which surrounds the lake. With over 2100 acres of land there is plenty of space for camping, parking, party tents, and stages, as well as a brand new 3 pool pool-gap set up on site showcasing the worlds best wakeboarders and wakeskaters. |
