| RELENTLESS WAKESTOCK PRESS DAY - BLENHEIM PALACE Wakestock and Alliance Wakeboard Magazine went on a little adventure to Blenheim Palace last week for a Wakestock Press Day. The convoy included Manchester Legend Bez from the Happy Mondays, pro wakeboarder’s Johny Carne, James Young and Matty Crowhurst plus a host of local and national press and a Mastercraft CSX. Blessed with blue skies and a flat calm lake the riding was going off with Matty Crowhurst sticking a huge, clean backside 720 off the Double Up and James Young showing his rising talent with crow mobes and raley 3’s. The riding proved that the Lake is going to provide perfect conditions for the actual event and the banks that surround the lake will allow for incredible viewing as they create a natural grandstand. Bez seemed like he had been doing his research as he turned up looking the part in a Billabong Wetsuit and low baggy board shorts, he was also claiming he had been practicing passing things round his back and seemed full of confidence. On about his third try he was up and riding and in his second go, he was popping of the wake. On his journey home all he talked about for 3 hours was wakeboarding so we are expecting to see Bez a fair bit more, including when they play their set at Wakestock. He’s even talking about going again at the festival! |
