THE FUTUREHEADS are a four-member Sunderland based punk funk group who first performed back in 2000. Through word-of-mouth their reputation in the local area grew. Their first single was released back in 2002 and the guys rushed to fame on the back of a Kate Bush cover "Hounds Of Love" with their neat combination of experimentation and pop. They have influences by an eclectic mix of the likes of Kate Bush, Fugazi, Devo, Queen and The Jam. Sunderland's key contribution to the post punk revival reach their fourth album “The Chaos” this month with little let up in energy levels. The band sound bigger, bolder and more impassioned than ever before and will go down a storm with the Wakestock crowds.
