THE KING BLUES are one of the UK punk underground's best loved bands. They’re an Acoustic-Ska trio who originate from London whose influences include Public Enemy, The Clash, The Specials and Minor Threat. Right from the get-go their music has defied convention. Unafraid to mix up dub bass lines, doo-wop a cappella songs, ska rhythms, Lonnie Donegan-styled skiffle, British folk and gritty poetry, theirs is a stripped-down and hot wired sort of sound. It is punk music as it was intended engaging and forward thinking. With fans that include Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, their hit “Save the World, Get the Girl” and brand new material from new album 'Punk and Poetry' this band know how to get the crowd going and Wakestock will love them.
