WHAT A START. MOBY, CALVIN HARRIS & RED ARROWS OPEN THE CELEBRATIONS.

Relentless Wakestock 2009 kicked off in style yesterday with a fantastic morning of wakeboarding in Pwllheli Marina. The sun was shining and the crowds turned out in there thousands to witness some awesome wakeboarding in the amateur qualifiers. The standard was particularly high from both the men and women who were competing for a place in the pro qualifier. It was a close contest as the riders battled it out for the 3 qualifying places for both the men & women. The three male qualifiers were Sam Weinstien, Declan Clifford and Ade Williams. The top three placed women were Sam Fissel, Charlotte Bryant and Belgian, Elke Vanken who all go through.

The action continued from 2pm up on the festival site as the gates opened for the start of the 10th birthday celebrations. The crowds poured in as Goldierocks, Dainton & Pritchard and Agnes built up the atmosphere to a frenzy in time for the arrival of the Red Arrows for their full 9 plane display right above the main stage.

The Relentless Wakestock crowds know how to party and the amazing line up continued deep into the night with performances from Chicane, Mr Scruff, Calvin Harris, Noisettes and many more. Friday headliner Moby, had the party fuelled crowd jumping. The crowd went nuts to his big festival anthems.

The fun has only just begun and there is loads more to look forward to over the course of the weekend, so get yourselves down there and join in the celebrations.
