BLAZING SUNSHINE & HUGE CROWDS AS RELENTLESS WAKESTOCK GOES BONKERS.

We always knew it would be an awesome way to finish the festival’s 10th anniversary celebrations, but we never expected that Dizzee Rascal would create the massive euphoric response that he did with the biggest crowd yet since the festival began back in 2000.

The warm weather and glorious sunshine arrived on Sunday morning for the pro final at Pwllheli Marina. Thousands lined the promenade to see the best from all over the globe compete for the biggest title in the sport. With a reasonably brisk wind the water chopped up to make it a little difficult for the pro riders. There were a few that really stood out and dealt with the conditions superbly, but it was current world champion Nick Davies, who had no problem whatsoever with the chop and walked away with the top spot in the 10th birthday year after a stonking run that just couldn’t be beaten. He pulled off some tricks that set him above the rest. Aussie Mitch Langfield took second place and ex champ Dan Nott came in third. UK rider Nick Davies also walked away with the trophy for the Big Air Competition on Abersoch Beach on Friday with a massive healside 720.

The women’s competition was hotly contested with the top spot once again taken by a UK rider Charlotte Bryant. Second place went to ex champ Robbie Rendo from Argentina and third to Aussie Kath Moore.

Up on the festival site the sun stayed out and the crowds swarmed in to watch acts like Tinchy Stryder, Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens, Just Jack, The Zutons, Golden Silvers and loads more. But it was Dizzee Rascal who stole the show with a massive crowd and rounded off this years Relentless Wakestock celebrations in true party style with his massive repertoire of songs and recent number 1 hit ‘Bonkers’ What better way to bring a brilliant weekend and our 10th birthday celebrations to a close!

Get ready for Relentless Wakestock 2010. It’s going to be sunny every day!!
