| RELENTLESS WAKESTOCK ABERSOCH UPDATE The last few weeks have been pretty damn hot here in Abersoch, the water in Cardigan Bay has warmed up loads and the beaches have been getting busier with bikinis & boardies. This obviously means that Wakestock 2008 is just around the corner; in fact it’s only 3 weeks away! The festival site up at Penrhos is looking fantastic, with lush green fields overlooking the bay & the Snowdonia Mountains. This year we’ve got the best in the business lined-up to make Europe’s largest wakeboard music festival 08 the best yet. From Thursday 3rd July when the campsite opens, until Sunday 6th July when the 3rd day of one of the best music line-ups comes to a close, everything’s been covered this year at the highest level to make sure your festival experience runs smoothly, from parking to camping, security to regular shuttle buses, and from the wakeboarding to the biggest summer fun fuelled party you’ll ever want to be part of. The music line-up is the strongest to date, over the 3 days of live music & DJs we’re stoked to have one of the coolest bills of the festival calendar. Here’s a handful of them to get you revved up in the next 3 weeks: GROOVE ARMADA, MARK RONSON AND GUESTS, THE STREETS, HAPPY MONDAYS, DUFFY, THE FUTUREHEADS, PENDULUM, THE HOOSIERS, CALVIN HARRIS, ZANE LOWE, FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND, SAM SPARRO, MYSTERY JETS, AUDIO BULLYS, ELLIOT MINOR, ONE NIGHT ONLY, HADOUKEN, PLUMP DJS, DJ YODA, YOUNG KNIVES, ROYWORLD, NORMAN JAY, JAZZIE B, ADAM FREELAND, LIGHTSPEED CHAMPION and LOADS MORE. In fact that’s less than half of them, but to see the full line-up then click here. Oh and don’t miss the cool list of radio DJs to host the stages; Jo Whiley & Huw Stephens from Radio 1, Clint Boon, Dave Haslam & Gareth Brooks from XFM & the beautiful Goldierocks joins us again for the whole weekend. Of course the fab music mix that takes place on the 3 stages is just a part of the action packed 3 days. We’ve got the best athletes from the coolest sport on water, battling it out each day in Pwllheli Marina for the biggest title in wakeboarding. Kiwi Brad Smeele & Auzzie Kath Moore will be back to defend their Wakestock titles, but they’re up against some of the best riders in the world this year. Make sure you get down to the marina to watch it and getting there this year couldn’t be easier using the free shuttle buses. Once that’s finished then you’ll have time to get down to the beach to chill out. Here, not only will you enjoy some of the best beaches in the country, but there’s a whole host of trendy bars, cafes and the coolest shops to get stuck into selling all the best surf and skate brands, as well as a few quirkier labels. There’s still tickets left, but they’re going fast. You can book them straight away by buying online via our secure online store by clicking here or for more ticket options just click here. Just don’t leave it too late, they’ve sold out before the event in the past! |
