RADIO 1 DJs ZANE LOWE & HUW STEPHENS JOIN THE PARTY

It is a great honor to welcome back 2 of Radio 1’s hugely influential DJ’s to Relentless Wakestock 2009. Both were at the top of the list of invites to our 10th birthday celebrations and we were so stoked when we heard they were keen to return.

Zane Lowe’s crazy final set last year filled the dance tent to the rafters and the feedback afterwards was overwhelming. He’s such a key guy in the music industry and he certainly knows how to get a crowd bouncing. Expect a few appearances on the main open-air stage and he will no doubt round off the new Relentless Pyramid Stage in style.

Huw Stephens is instrumental in everything that is “new music” and he has worked closely with us to line-up the bill for the Relentless stage on Sunday night. This is a sneaky foundation builder for a bigger involvement next year! Zane Lowe will headline the stage and Golden Silvers front the live artists that will join him. You should listen out for ‘True Romance’ – a great tune. Also playing live are Young Fathers, a really cool Scottish hip hop trio. Wakestock favourite Goldierocks will be sneaking in to get on the decks (and on the mic knowing her!). Huw himself will also be on the decks for a set in between announcing the acts which include one or two more still to be announced.
