MORE ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR RELENTLESS WAKESTOCK 2010.

We’ve got loads of exciting additions to the line up and they are coming in thick and fast. The first announcements were made last week and more have been confirmed since then. We’ve only announced about a third of our line-up so you can expect loads more to be announced over the coming weeks, including the festival headliner. Here are our latest additions;

CHASE & STATUS will be returning to the stage in 2010 to top their amazing set from last year. They went down a storm and deservedly take a headline slot in the main arena this year with massive hits "End Credits" and "Pieces" under their belts. They will be joined by one of grime’s original founders WILEY. This MC and producer is probably best known for his hit single “Wearing my Rolex” and current top 10 single “Never Be Your Woman” and is sure to raise the roof. Hip Hop & Soul man of the moment PLAN B, dubbed the “British Eminem” by music press for his lyrical content will enlighten the crowd with what is sure to be a great set. He is set to release his second album this year and if the first hit single from it “Stay Too Long” is anything to go by, it will be a massive success!
Legendary turntablists SCRATCH PERVERTS will also return to the stage six years after their first Wakestock appearance back in 2005. This cool collective have toured around the world playing to sell out crowds and will be making the trip to Wales in July.
The not at all French, OU EST LE SWIMMING POOL, best known for their catchy tune “Dance The Way I Feel” will be keeping the 80’s revival vibe alive on stage. These Camden based boys burst on to the scene last year and are ready to party. Joining them is DJ TODDLA T. This man is in demand at the moment and is sure to tear it up with the audience this year. One to watch in 2010.
ZINC FT. DYNAMITE MC have some belting tracks between them and will come together again at Relentless Wakestock. Also returning is the legend that is Wakestock favourite NORMAN JAY. The man who has become almost a resident after years supporting the event will once again blast out his best in 2010 as he also celebrates 30 years of his famous “Good Times” set. Masked producer SBTRKT lets his music do the talking. Having just wrapped remixes for Basement Jaxx and Franz Ferdinand, this guy is pretty impressive on stage and we have no doubt will do down well with the up for it crowds as will MCLEAN who’s current single “My Name” is getting massive airplay on both Radio 1 & MTV.
Wakestock is known for featuring some amazing Welsh acts over the years and 2010 will be no different. LOS CAMPESINOS! have just been confirmed on the bill. This seven piece from Cardiff have been around since 2006 and their latest album “Romance is Boring” is generating a real stir. They are sure to have the support of the home crowd when they take to the stage this year.
