A MEMORABLE ‘DAY 2’ OF EUROPE’S COOLEST FESTIVAL.
What a day! Day 2 of Relentless
Wakestock’s 10th birthday celebrations brought a little bit of
sunshine, a lot of wind & rain, but an awesome show of big bands
& world class wakeboarding performing to 15,000 very high spirited
festival revellers.
The day’s action started at Pwllheli Marina
with top men’s wakeboarders battling it out for a place in the Pro
Final. Spectators turned out again in there thousands to show their
support for the riders, which also included a closely fort women’s Pro
Final, which the winners will be announced on stage on Sunday night .
The 10 names going through in the Men’s to today’s final are Australian
Mitch Langfield who came top, Sam Weinstein (GBR) Dan Jordan (GBR)
Devon Massif (USA) Paul Mc Quire (GBR) Freddie Carter (GBR) Tim
Woodhead (GBR) Ed Williams (GBR) Jonny Farley (GBR) and James Hooper
(GBR.) It’s going to be a great final with world class riders competing
for the biggest title in the sport.
The wakeboarding action
continued on the festival site with the Rococo rail tour on the purpose
built Pool Gap, showcasing some of the best wakeskating and
wakeboarding right in front of the festival crowds.
The
excitement was building on the festival site and the Wakestock crowds
were as amazing as ever as they welcomed on to the stage an awesome
line up that included Pigeon Detectives, Welsh legends Super Furry
Animals, The Twang, a banging set from Chase & Status and loads
more. Despite the customary festival downpour the crowd went wild as
N*E*R*D took to the stage. Pharrell and his band got the crowd into a
frenzy with an awesome performance to end the lively night.
Everything
is set for the final night of partying tonight. The sun is out in full
force, the site is in good shape and tonight’s headliner Dizzee Rascal
